Rome, October 28, 2010 - At
the conclusion of the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social
Exclusion part of the project "my neighbor", a series of six exhibitions
produced with the assistance of the Province of Rome, in which eight
artists have been invited to express themselves with their art on the 8
Millennium Development Goals, to shout the urgency of a common awareness
and responsibility to the next is mine and the other next to me.
Architect of the project, the Gallery Whitecubealpigneto that, inspired
by Malevich, provides its own space: a white square and a white
background that can be thermoformed from time to time by the work of the
artist. For the series of exhibitions will be inaugurated Vittorio
Pavoncello with (C) ART OF CREDIT, a project with which the artist
intends to contribute to a reflection on the Millennium Development Goal
of halving extreme poverty and hunger in the world. The critique is by
contemporary look.
Will be presented with four etchings and an installation that will
remain on display until November 20. The three large incisions, already
exhibited at the Biennale of Ljubljana in '97, make up a trilogy that
deals with various forms of poverty, both material and spiritual
undernourished, the world of words and loneliness. The fourth
recording entitled The worship of Humanity - already part of the
collection of the Israel Museum in Tel Aviv - symbolizes a model of
culture that places the integrity of the human value as the hub of a
society, the necessary condition to eliminate social injustice.
At the center of the space, the installation Thanks, focused on begging
as an invisible presence, is constituted as a point of connection
between the visual and audio elements. Pavoncello recreates the scene in
the exhibition space is the same as many times you look casually on the
street, there is no human presence here transformed into a tangible
means of an identity denied by the indifference of the beholder.
(C) ART OF CREDIT reflection comes from a meta-artistic sull'incisione
marginalized from contemporary art as a technique to reach a broader
discourse on human beings, poverty and social exclusion, "said Vittorio
Pavoncello, artist, author and theater that stands out for its social
commitment and his search for new forms of avant-garde art, including
digital art. Webism is part of the Group of Worldwide Artists, a
movement born in 2003 and consists of more than 60 artists from various
countries around the world who believe in art as an engine of change
that promotes the overcoming of obstacles, ranging from political to
cultural .
To complete the work, the
opening day will be staging the play "1000 words before dying" by
the same author, which will be interpreted by actors and Federica
